Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

2

The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.

3

He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;

5

make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,

6

with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn-- shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

7

Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.

8

Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;

9

let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.

The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.

Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,

6

who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?

7

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;

8

he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people.

9

He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD.

Today's bible teaching: Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.

I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise.

I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart.

3

I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me.

4

Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.

5

I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.

Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.

The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave ^[1] came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.

Then I called on the name of the LORD: "O LORD, save me!"

The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

6

The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.

7

Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

8

For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,

9

that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

I believed; therefore ^[2] I said, "I am greatly afflicted."

And in my dismay I said, "All men are liars."

How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me?

I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant ^[3] ; you have freed me from my chains.

I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.

18

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,

19

in the courts of the house of the LORD-- in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD. ^[4]

Today's bible teaching: Who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?

He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart

and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman,

who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts,

5

who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy majesty, from the womb of the dawn you will receive the dew of your youth. ^[1]

4

The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."

5

The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.

6

He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.

He will drink from a brook beside the way ^[2] ; therefore he will lift up his head.
